Pays Basque and Pyrenees

The Pyrenees cut across southwest France from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic coast (GR10 is a great way of getting to know this amazing natural environment). Along the way you will find great places such as the citadel of Montségur on top of a rocky hill, the pilgrimage center of Lourdes, Pau in the Béarn country or the Basque port of Bayonne.

Lovers of quiet and picturesque villages will be rewarded by St-Bertrand-de-Comminges,Aïnhoa, St-Jean-de-Luz, Sauvaterre-de-Béarn and many more….

Normandy

Today we include a new destination in TravelEchoes: Normandy. It is a fabulous destination in northern France, which has its best known spot in the magnificent Mont St-Michel. The profile of this little island in the Atlantic crowned by its imposing abbey is one of the most characteristic images of France. Charming ports as Honfleur, Barfleur, or those located along the coast of Alabaster have a unique charm. Natural paradises like the Cotentin peninsula, the cliffs of Etretat, different scenarios of D-Day landings of World War II… and much more complete the offer of this spectacular region.
